Science of yin yoga:

Yin yoga allows for a deeper stretch and tension release. Stretching not only muscle but also the joints, tendons and ligaments. The fascia in the body is deeply released. Like a yogic massage.
Reducing stress, emotional imbalances and anxiety; restoring health.
Aiding better sleep.
Improved circulation, overall flexibility, better mobility and flexibility in joints.
Deep diaphragmatic breathing to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.
If you’ve never experienced the deep vibrational sounds from the crystal singing bowls you are in for a treat. The vibration penetrates into the body during savasana, serving as an aid for deep relaxation and healing.
I love yin yoga even more in the Winter as it cohesive to self reflection, turning your attention inwards and feeling deeply connected with your body and spirit. Like a cosy mini hibernation for the body and mind. Afterwards, feeling completely refreshed with a sense of inner contentment; allowing for a sense of ease and peace to be felt.
