By completing a booking or purchase via BACS transfer or online payment, you (the “Client”) agree to the following:
All purchases are non-refundable.
We do not offer refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or unused portions of any class, event, or retreat.
Hannah Louise Bateman, Hannah Bateman Yoga Life, and any teachers employed or contracted by Hannah are not responsible or liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings.
All clients participate in yoga classes, events, and retreats at their own risk.
The client acknowledges full responsibility for their own physical and mental wellbeing throughout any class, retreat, or event, and confirms that they are fit to participate.
Hannah Louise Bateman, Hannah Bateman Yoga Life, and any employed or contracted teachers are not liable for any injuries or health issues, whether pre-existing or arising from participation.
We are also not responsible or liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur at, or as a result of, the venue used for the event.
1. INTERPRETATION
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions:
“Company” means Hannah Bateman Yoga Life;
“Client” means the person booking or attending a Retreat;
“Retreat” means the combination of travel services (including accommodation, yoga activities,
and related services) sold by the Company;
“Booking Cost” means the total price payable for the Retreat;
“Deposit” means the non-refundable deposit required to secure a booking;
“Package” has the meaning given under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements
Regulations 2018;
“Website” means www.hannahbatemanyogalife.co.uk.
1.2 References to the singular include the plural and vice versa, and references to the masculine
gender include the feminine gender.
2.BOOKING AND CONTRACT
3.1 A binding contract is formed when the Company confirms the Client’s booking and receives the
Deposit.
3.2 If a booking is made on behalf of others, the booker confirms they have authority to bind all
members of the party.
4. PRICING AND PAYMENT
4.1 The Booking Cost is as stated on the Website and depends on the accommodation selected.
4.2 A Deposit is required to secure a place.
4.3 The balance of the Booking Cost must be paid:
8 weeks prior to the start date for European retreats;
4 weeks prior to the start date for UK retreats.
4.4 Failure to pay the balance by the deadline may result in cancellation, with loss of the Deposit.
5. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
5.1 The Deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.
5.2 If the Client cancels more than 8 weeks prior to the Retreat start date, all payments made are
non-refundable.
5.3 The Client may transfer their booking to another person only if the transfer is requested more than
8 weeks prior to the Retreat start date, provided that:(a) the Client gives the Company reasonable written notice;
(b) the replacement participant satisfies all conditions applicable to the Retreat; and
(c) the replacement participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
5.4 The Company may charge a reasonable administrative fee for processing a transfer.
5.5 Where the Client successfully resells or transfers their place prior to the Retreat start date, the
Company may, at its sole discretion, refund payments made by the original Client, less the non-
refundable Deposit and any reasonable administrative costs incurred.
5.6 If the Client cancels within 8 weeks of the Retreat start date, the full Booking Cost remains
payable and no refund will be given.
5.7 No refund will be provided for failure to attend, late arrival, or early departure.
5.8 This clause is subject to the Client’s statutory rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel
Arrangements Regulations 2018, including rights relating to unavoidable and extraordinary
circumstances.
6. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY THE COMPANY
6.1 The Company may cancel or make changes to the Retreat if:
Minimum numbers are not met;
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur (e.g., natural disasters, government
restrictions).
6.2 In such cases, the Client will be offered:
(a) a full refund; or
(b) an alternative Retreat of equivalent value.
6.3 Minor changes to the schedule, accommodation, or instructors may be made at the Company’s
discretion, provided the overall Retreat experience is substantially maintained.
7. HEALTH, FITNESS, AND PARTICIPATION
7.1 Clients must be medically and physically fit to participate.
7.2 Clients must disclose relevant health conditions and obtain medical approval if unsure.
7.3 Participation in yoga classes is entirely voluntary and involves inherent risks, including but not
limited to physical injury. By participating, you acknowledge, assume, and accept all such risks. The
Company, its instructors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained as
a result of participation in these classes.
7.4 Clients must hold valid travel and medical insurance. Including: trip cancellation, medical
emergencies and travel disruption.
7.5 Clients must inform the Company 8 weeks before the Retreat start date of any food allergies.8. CONDUCT
8.1 The Company may terminate a Client’s participation for inappropriate behavior.
8.2 No refund will be given if the Client is removed for misconduct.
9. LIABILITY
9.1 The Company will perform the Retreat services with reasonable care and skill and is responsible
for the proper performance of the travel services included in the Retreat.
9.2 The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage where:
(a) such loss is attributable to the Client;
(b) such loss is attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the Retreat services
and is unforeseeable or unavoidable;
(c) such loss is due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances beyond the Company’s
control.
9.3 The Company may use independent suppliers (including venues, catering providers, transport
providers and excursion operators). The Company will take reasonable care in selecting such
suppliers. The Company is not liable for acts, omissions or fault by the third party suppliers.
9.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for
by the Client for the Retreat.
9.6 Clients acknowledge that yoga, physical activity, travel, and excursions involve inherent risks and
agree to participate voluntarily.
9.7 The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure safety; however, Clients are responsible for:
ensuring they are fit to participate;
disclosing relevant medical conditions;
following all instructions.
9.8 The Company shall not be liable for
injury

deathor health conditions arising from participation.
9.9 Activities such as yoga, excursions, or outdoor pursuits involve inherent risks, which Clients
accept by attending.
9.10 The Company is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Clients are
strongly advised to obtain appropriate insurance.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY
By attending the Company’s yoga retreat, you consent to being photographed and recorded during
retreat activities, and grant permission for this content to be used for marketing and promotional
purposes, including on social media.
10. DAMAGE
10.1 Clients must take care of property and replace or reimburse any damage caused.
11. COMPLAINTS
11.1 Complaints should be raised immediately with the Retreat host.
11.2 All complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the Retreat end date.
12. DATA PROTECTION
12.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the
Company’s Privacy Policy.
13.GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2 Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and
Wales.
14. SEVERABILITY
15.1 If any provision is found invalid, the remainder remains in full force.
